How To Maximize Your Affiliate Profits!

I originally wrote this article for a JV Blog post over at our most recent product VoxFlair, but I figured it could help out some people here as well!

Who am I? Well if you’ve been to any of Mike Filsaime’s recent legendary parties in Vegas, then you’ve met me in person! But for those of you who haven’t yet made it to one of our events (or were too drunk to remember me), my name is Devin Chipman and I’m Mike & Omar’s marketing manager over at HigherLevelStrategies.

You do NOT need to have a giant list to make some serious money as a affiliate marketer.

Sure, having a giant list helps, but it is not the only factor that matters! You need to do the best with what you have!

What I’d like to share with you today is just 1 simple concept that, when properly executed can help you maximize your profits and compete with the super affiliates! Even if you have a small list, this will help you make the most sales (and commissions) possible.

Before I tell you, I’ll just show you some recent real world results. As many of you know, Mike Filsaime recently re-launched his 7FigureCode product as a special promotion a couple months ago. He hosted a huge affiliate contest with some of the biggest names in the industry promoting for him. The promotion went live on Dec 15th 09 and the contest ran for 1 week. Hundreds of JVs and super affiliates were able to promote the exact same offer, at the exact same price, and let the best man or woman win!

Omar and I here at HLS entered as an affiliate under Omar’s name. Take a look at a screen cap from the 7FigureCode Leaderboard! We ended up maintaining our 6th place rank out of hundreds of affiliates. What’s so impressive about that? Well first of all, those are some serious big time names on that list, just scroll down and read through them! But even more impressive than that, we accomplished it using a list that was 1/5th the size of anyone on that top 10 leaderboard (and many of the top20 as well). Even though we all offered the same product, we simply had higher conversions!

As always, Mike is super generous to his affiliates, and he rewarded the top 2-10 places with a $1,000 chip, and first place a $10k chip, to play on the private roulette table he had at his Affiliate Appreciation Weekend in Las Vegas. Here is a shot of us all crowded around the roulette table to see who would hit their number!

So what was one of the major strategies we used to make as many sales as the big dogs, but with a smaller list?

A kickass, well executed bonus offer!

People already love getting a good deal, but they love getting free stuff added to that good deal even more! We have proven time and time again that a great bonus offer can make a huge impact on your conversions. Here are a few tips to make the most of your bonus offer page.

  • People don’t like to read – Make a voiceover or video (using VoxFlair!) explaining your bonus offer!
  • Explain everything in detail – Tell them exactly what they are getting and why it is valuable.
  • Scarcity – Limit your bonus offer to a specific amount of the fast action takers to create urgency.
  • Value – Don’t just give away junk, that will actually HURT your conversions. Give them stuff that is relevant and useful, and list the values.
  • Creativity – Create a bonus item that is unique and cannot be offered by anyone else!
  • Get help – Fellow marketers that you’ve previously partnered with might contribute items you can use for a bonus.
  • Remind them – They only get the bonus if they use your link, so educate them on clearing cookies and verifying affiliate links before purchase.

Use Voxflair To Add Pro Video & Audio To Your Websites

More and more online marketers and business owners are seeing the light and recognizing the tremendous benefits of incorporating multimedia into their online marketing strategy. It’s a proven fact that multimedia more easily and effectively captivates your audience and grab’s the attention of your prospects, visitors, subscribers and customers. Time and time again research has shown that using multimedia in the form of video and/or audio advertisements increases conversation rates, buy rates as well as subscription rates for a product or service.

When you look at the above statistics put together by leading authorities, can you really afford not to jump at the chance to use Multimedia as an advertising strategy?
Look at it this way, without Video and/or Audio your site appears static to the visitor and after seeing hundreds of these types of sites, your customer becomes desensitized which is why sales conversion rates have systematically dropped over the last couple of years all over the Internet.

Savvy Internet Marketers know this and have already seen the light. You’ll notice that many of these “Gurus” are lending voice to their sales copy in an effort to increase their conversion rates and many have incorporated video into their marketing. In essence, they are re-inventing themselves, recognizing the tremendous power and benefits inherent in multimedia and using it to captivate their intended audience and to convert prospects into subscribers and customers.

Think about it…you can convince your prospect to buy your product or service or subscribe to your ezine or newsletter much more easily with a 3 minute video as opposed to a long winded sales page that doesn’t convey your passion for your product, service or publication. The human voice has the power to influence, motivate, and persuade prospects to take action with much less resistance and reluctance.

These days there are scams all over the Internet and as a result people are very skeptical of many sites and ultimately the “online” business owners behind these websites. By using multimedia in the form of video and audio messages, you leave visitors with the impression that you are a “real” business and someone they CAN trust.
By using multimedia, you can also communicate better with people, specifically prospective customers, allowing you to get your point across much easier which all leads to one end result- MORE SALES!
